We are a Spirit led association of churches operating in a world of charity compliance. As a result, we operate in both these spheres at the same time seeking to harness the strengths and minimise the weaknesses of association and of central charitable governance.

Our Board of Trustees has a key role within the Association – it is the place where we share, discern and test what we see God doing across the region; how the Holy Spirit is leading us and who He is raising up to serve in key roles. The Board is also the place where we keep each other true; true to our identity and Declaration of Principle, true to our churches and true to our governance responsibilities. The Board has the vital role of holding together our ecclesial way of being and our charitable responsibilities; it ensures that our charitable activities always serves our member churches.

The role of the Trustees is to focus on key strategic issues and decisions relating to the work of the Association and its churches, to oversee the staff and support them in their work. The day-to-day work of the Association is the responsibility of the staff supported by the Working Groups. Role descriptions for trustees can be found here

We would encourage all our member churches to encourage those who they think would be appropriate to serve as a trustee, to submit an expression of interest form at any time during the year. Together we can then discern if it would be appropriate to submit their name for election at our AGM
